What this site collects
Last updated 2026-10-10
dcmnt.app is run by Machinery Software LLC. It is a single page and a waitlist. It has no advertising or tracking scripts, no cookies, no local storage and no third-party scripts or fonts. The only script on the site is our own, and it only submits the waitlist form without reloading the page. This site counts visits and signups on our own server: no cookies, no tracking scripts, no IP addresses stored.
If you join the waitlist
We store exactly these fields, and nothing else:
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| The address you enter, trimmed and lowercased. | |
| Organization | Optional. Whatever you type, up to 120 characters. |
| Seats | Optional. The range you pick, such as “51–250”. |
| Form | Which of the two forms on the page you used: the top one or the bottom one. |
| Came from | Optional. Where the page you signed up on was reached from: the utm_source of a tagged link, or the domain of the site that linked to it, such as “reddit.com”. Never the full address. Empty if you typed the address or used a bookmark. |
| Time | When you signed up. |
We do not store your IP address, browser, device or location with your entry. To stop automated abuse, the form is limited to a few submissions per minute from one network. That limit is keyed on a one-way hash of your IP address, held only as a short-lived counter by Cloudflare's rate limiter, and never written to our database or logs.
Visit counts
When a page on dcmnt.app is viewed, and when someone joins the waitlist, our server records one count with exactly these fields, and nothing else:
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Event | “visit” or “signup”. |
| Page | The page’s path, such as “/privacy”, without any query string. |
| Source | The utm_source of a tagged link, otherwise the domain of the site that linked here, otherwise “direct”. Never the full address. |
| Campaign | The utm_campaign of a tagged link, if there is one. |
| Country | The country Cloudflare reports for the connection, such as “NL”. |
| Device class | Phone, tablet or desktop, worked out from the browser’s User-Agent when the page is served. The User-Agent itself is not kept. |
| Form | For a signup only: the top form or the bottom one. |
These counts are kept in aggregate by Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine in our Cloudflare account, for Cloudflare’s default retention period, and then expire. They contain no IP address, no User-Agent, no cookie and no identifier, so they can’t identify a person or tell whether two visits came from the same one. They count visits, not visitors. Visits from obvious bots, link previews, prefetches and our own preview builds are not counted.
Why
- We'll only email you about dcmnt: an invite to test early builds, and the release. No newsletter, no sharing.
- To understand what size of organization is interested, which shapes pricing and licensing.
- To learn which places people hear about dcmnt from, using the visit counts and the “came from” field.
We will not add you to any other list, or sell or share your details.
Where it is kept
Waitlist entries are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in our Cloudflare account, and visit counts in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine in the same account. Only Machinery Software staff can read it. Cloudflare hosts this site and processes the network traffic needed to serve it; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
How long
We keep a waitlist entry until dcmnt is generally available and for 12 months after that, then delete it. If you buy dcmnt, anything needed for your license is handled separately.
Being removed
Email privacy@dcmnt.app from the address you signed up with and ask to be removed. We delete the entry within 30 days and reply to confirm. You can also ask us what we hold about you, or to correct it, the same way.
This page is served unmodified
Every page on this site is sent with Cache-Control: no-transform, which tells our CDN not
to inject anything into it, and a Content-Security-Policy that only allows scripts from dcmnt.app. If
you open your browser's developer tools, every request should go to dcmnt.app.
Changes
If this changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
